There’s room yet for growth and untangling in Canada’s legal reform

Nearly five months after Canada legalised cannabis, its fledgling system for delivering cannabis and CBD products to consumers is still experiencing growing pains.

While Health Canada insists licensed producers are turning out enough dried cannabis and cannabis oil to meet demand, industry experts say the system has had logistical problems.

Complicating the situation further is a patchwork quilt of provincial laws covering the legal age to buy cannabis products and how they are sold. The rules vary from one province to the next.
