Regulatory report: where can cannabis and CBD be bought in Canada?

The Cannabis Act, section 19 (Selling) establishes that there is no free market to sell recreational cannabis and its by-products – including CBD extracted from hemp – in Canada. It is necessary to seek governmental approval. However, it is not the central government that has the competence to allow companies to become cannabis retailers, but the provincial authorities.
