Poland set to grow cannabis for medical use after Senate ratifies hemp bill

The Polish Senate has passed a bill introducing new regulations on hemp growing and medical cannabis with minimal changes from the version already approved by the lower parliamentary chamber, the Sejm.

The changes include lengthening the time for the new rules to come into force following publication in the country’s official journal from 14 to 30 days and requiring those involved in hemp growing to submit proof that they have not been convicted of any drug-related offences.
