The North Carolina senate has passed a law confirming the legality of hemp before the state’s pilot programme finishes at the end of June. It now moves to the House.
The latest version of the bill updates it to not only continue the legality of hemp but also to exclude THC in hemp from the controlled substances list, which had been overlooked in previous legislation. Bill S762 now moves to the state’s second legislative chamber for approval. It is thought that even with the update addressing THC the bill should still pass in the House as a bill for the same general purpose has already been under review there.
