Italian Constitutional Court rejects referendum on decriminalising cannabis

An Italian referendum on the potential decriminalisation of cannabis for personal use has been rejected after the country’s Constitutional Court ruled that it violated international treaties on narcotics and that its wording could potentially lead to the decriminalisation of the cultivation of all narcotic substances, including opium poppies and coca leaves
