CBD continues to gain ground across sports in North America; with recent visibility in sports like rugby and baseball, and no general proscription against CBD use from the World Anti-Doping Code, it may be making headway into American football.
The National Football League (NFL) and the National Football Players Association (NFLPA) may have inched their way toward a CBD-friendly approach recently when they announced two committees which will look into pain management and mental health. It will also review team policies concerning prescription medication and require the appointment of a qualified pain specialist for each team.
