Cleared CBD restaurant owner: ‘I hope my case makes UK police think again’

The long-running saga of one of the first UK police raids on a retail location selling hemp products has finally come to a close after a jury took just 30 minutes to reach a non-guilty verdict on drug trafficking charges.

After the jury decided the owner of the UK’s first CBD restaurant and shop was not guilty of supplying cannabis, the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) dropped a similar prosecution of another cannabis retail outlet targeted in the same series of raids.
